  "bio": "Known to the public record as Inch Chua (iNCH) — born Chua Yun Juan (蔡昀娟), 22 Dec 1988, Singapore; the nickname is 'Yun Juan' said quickly. Singer-songwriter, producer, actress, multidisciplinary artist. As a kid at a conformist all-girls' school she drew circles freehand while everyone used compasses — 'That's not a real circle!' / 'You know, not everything has to be perfect.' (her TEDxSingapore talk, [ i ]nch by inch). Fronted Allura (Baybeats 2007: the founder fired everyone days before; they scraped together songs and played anyway; EP 'Wake Up and Smell the Seaweed' 2008; ended by National Service). The Bedroom EP (2009) free/pay-what-you-want on Bandcamp — open source before web3 had a name — made her the first Singaporean solo artist invited to SXSW (2010); represented Singapore at Shanghai Expo 2010; performed TEDxWomen Washington DC 2012. Albums: Wallflower (2010), Bumfuzzle (2013, fan-crowdfunded on Indiegogo), Letters To Ubin EP (2015), 1832 EP (2015); singles Sun & Moon ☉+◑ (2019), Flags ft. Shigga Shay (2020), Marigold Magic (2026). Live band: The Metric System. Own label: House Of Riot!. Opened for Katy Perry, Macy Gray, Vampire Weekend. Theatre era: SRT, Pangdemonium, TheatreWorks and more; current work 'Myles — Soulmate in a Box' at Singapore Repertory Theatre (May 2026). The orchestra's road crossed hers in the Devcon SEA season (Bangkok 2024, Music & Art Space) — as Shaka tells it, the fourteenth chair was always hers: 'it was inch.'",
