OPEN RECORDING #2 · weekly call · Tue 27 Oct 2026 · 21:36 IST

The whole call, in the open.

1h43 of the family deciding how four days of music on the floor of Devcon 8 will breathe — Indian music opens the mornings, instruments and DJs play together after 4, originals in every language, nobody owns the orchestra.

Chapters

Recorded the way we'd want to be recorded

  1. The notetakers enter the room first. Fireflies was our first guest, before any human — the agents came in early as notetakers.
  2. Consent is asked out loud at the top, on the recording itself — so the recording carries its own permission. (On this call: "I am going to be recording. Hope that is all right.")
  3. The human host hits record last. Google Meet started after the consent line; that's why this page leads with the notetaker's take.
  4. Nothing is cut. The uncut full edition is the only edition.
  5. Nothing goes public until everyone on the call has said yes, and the transcript is checked by the ʻohana first — names right, nothing private (emails and numbers removed).

Highest security we've got: it's all in the open. This protocol is free to copy — it's how we'd want every circle recorded.

Who was in the room

Shaka (host) with the music family — artists, stewards and friends across India, the US and Thailand — and the notetakers. Everyone named in the transcript consented to this recording being public.
