Alaska Γ Subcult β live coding Β· Nov 4 Β· 1:50p
MDRN builds infrastructure for underground music: a micropayment patronage layer and a federated internet radio where any community can run a station. Subcult is where listeners pay artists directly. Someone who builds radio you can fork is going to write music you can read β on Nov 4 the typing happens in the circle.
So the circle itself can be a station: one room, one floor, everyone who shows up, broadcast as a community channel.
patio.fm β Ethereum is the radio
"A tiny live radio that broadcasts audio and video through pending Ethereum transactions. Listening needs no wallet."
Patio Station was an ETHGlobal Tokyo finalist. The tie is simple: the circle is broadcast on Ethereum itself β listen on patio.fm, no wallet needed.
station link coming with the first set β nothing is live yet, and we won't say it is until it is.
π± and the Devcon app
Every placed set lives in the official Devcon 8 app under the room Music stage. Tap a figure for its session; the big button below stars the whole circle in your My Interests. (The app's times are being synced to the blessed arrangement β the circle here is the source of truth.)
