"DDJ" is Pioneer/AlphaTheta's controller range. He also said he'd happily use a house deck if there is one.
| # | What | Out of his side | Into the floor | Board |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | DDJ controller master out | depends on the model, and this matters: the small/mid DDJs (DDJ-FLX4, DDJ-200/400 class) have an RCA master out only — no XLR. The bigger ones (DDJ-1000 / FLX10 class) add a balanced XLR pair. | RCA pair most likely → needs the board to take RCA, or an RCA → 2 × ¼" / RCA → 2 × XLR cable | 2 ch (stereo) |
Plain words: RCA is the red-and-white pair you know from home hi-fi. It's unbalanced, so it doesn't like long runs — fine for the few metres from a DJ table to the board, but the board has to actually have RCA sockets, or we have to convert it.
Channels on the board: 2 (stereo pair, most likely RCA).
(the one place we say "stage" — it's the technical word. Everywhere else: the floor, the circle.)

huzzhouse, Nov 4 4:35p, 45 min: brings his own DDJ controller — most DDJs come out on RCA, not XLR. Please confirm the board has a free RCA pair or that an RCA→XLR cable lives on the floor. Plus table, power, booth monitor.
Drafted from his application words — not confirmed by the artist
The RCA question is the one that generalises: it affects half the DJs on our floor, not just him.
