| Who's playing | Whoever is in the room. Stewards + walk-ups + any artist who stays after their set. The circle has no lineup. |
This matters to the patch more than any single artist does: OSO is on the floor for about 16 hours of the four days, and the circle should never be fully un-patched, because the Vamp Rule says silence is the only failure state.
| # | What | Out of their side | Into the floor | Board |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Shaka's uke looper | stereo pair, ¼" | 2 × DI (1 stereo DI) → XLR | 2 ch |
| 3 | Alaska's sax | acoustic | clip condenser (DPA 4099 / Beta 98-class) — keeps him mobile in the circle | 1 ch |
| 4–5 | ʻohana laptop / DJ brain | stereo — interface or 3.5 mm, confirm with the ʻohana | 2 line inputs | 2 ch |
| 6–8 | Walk-up spots ×3 | anything | always line-checked, always hot — a stranger is one fader away from the circle | 3 ch |
| 9–10 | Room / ambient pair | — | the ambient mics Amogh listed — the sound of the circle, for the stream and the archive | 2 ch |
Channels on the board: ~10 for the circle scene, on top of whichever artist is playing. This is where the day's peak channel count really comes from.
(the one place we say "stage" — it's the technical word. Everywhere else: the floor, the circle.)

The circle itself needs about 10 channels standing by all week — 2 for Shaka's uke looper (1 stereo DI), 1 clip condenser for Alaska's sax, 2 line inputs for the ʻohana laptop, 3 walk-up channels kept permanently hot, and the 2 ambient mics. Plus 4 wedges and floor cushions. The one number we need from you: how many channels does the board have?
Drafted from the room-level rider (RIDEOSO 📋, v1.4) + the blessed arrangement — OSO side confirmed, house side unconfirmed
This is our own rider, so the "bring" column is solid. Everything in "missing" is a question for production — above all the channel count.
