| Set | Wed 5 Nov · 1:00p (IST) · 30 min — ⚠ this time is NOT settled, see below |
| Who's playing | Solo — voice + guitar, her own originals. |
| ⚠ Slot confusion | The Devcon app shows her Nov 3, 12:00; our live page shows Nov 5, 1:00p; she was told Nov 5, 1:30 last week. Her arrival date also reads differently in two of her own emails (Nov 3 evening vs Nov 4 morning). Shaka is answering her himself. Until he does, treat the time on this rider as provisional — the rest of the rider is unaffected. |
What she asked us for: "bluetooth connection, Mike, Speaker."
| # | What | Out of her side | Into the floor | Board |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Her voice | — | SM58 on a stand → XLR | 1 ch |
| 2 | Her guitar | ¼" if it has a pickup → DI box → XLR. No pickup → a mic in front (SM57 / condenser). Ask her: is there a jack socket on your guitar? | depends on the guitar | 1 ch |
| 3–4 | "Bluetooth connection" | 🚨 We need to know what this is for — backing tracks from her phone? a click? a drone? | see the honest note below | 2 ch |
🔵 About Bluetooth, in plain words: Bluetooth audio is not a good way to get sound into a PA. It adds a delay of roughly a tenth of a second (so her voice and her track drift apart), it drops out when a room is full of phones, and it is the first thing to fail in a convention centre. The wired version of the same idea is better and costs nothing: a 3.5 mm → dual ¼" cable from her phone's headphone socket (or a USB-C adapter if her phone has no socket) straight into two line inputs. Same result, no delay, no dropouts.
We are not deciding this for her — we're asking what the Bluetooth is for, and offering the cable.
Channels on the board: 2 (voice + guitar) · 4 if a track lane is used.
(the one place we say "stage" — it's the technical word. Everywhere else: the floor, the circle.)

She replied warmly and chose originals herself. Two small questions (Bluetooth for what? guitar pickup?) and one scheduling answer finish this.
